I am grateful to Jackie Sandell for her report on the Reims weekend on 7th to 9th of September

We had a great weekend in Reims.  10 of us made our way through the Eurotunnel at Folkestone and drove across France to Reims for a weekend of visiting champagne houses and the Old Reims Motor Racing Grand Prix track.  We explored Reims on the Friday, some of us explored the local beers and some explored the beautiful Cathedral and town!  On the Saturday we visited two champagne houses, Mumm and Moet & Chandon.  They were extremely interesting and we were able to have a glass or two or champagne to taste too!  The weather was extremely kind to us.  On Sunday morning a group toured the local Reims Motor Museum where there are 220 cars; many of which were French as expected.  They had a great collection of toy cars and motorcycles also.  If you are ever passing through, it is definitely worth a visit.  There was one club car - a 1939 Wraith. We then visited the Reims Motor Racing Circuit.  It was a great photo opportunity at a historic race track.  Of course before we left we just had to do a lap of the track!  Everyone had a really fun weekend.
