Bond 'In Motion'

21st April 2018

by Tony O'Brart

Our Middlesex section visited the London Film Museum in Covent Garden on Saturday, April 21st for a guided tour around the largest collection of James Bond cars & memorabilia in the UK . We had a total of 31members including guests plus one very tiny puppy who enjoyed seeing the actual Aston Martins & Rolls Royces used in all of the Bond films & an insight into how they were used in the filming of all of the movies . On each wall behind the cars was a flat screen T.V showing the actual film relating to that particular scene.  The information that they actually closed the Brent Cross shopping Centre for 2 days for the filming of a car chase through the multistory car park & crashing from the top floor down into a shop on the road plus lots of other stories about making cars doing impossible things that can only be done in the movies !!!!!

We then crossed the road to Cafe Rouge for a glass of Prosecco , lunch ,discussing our visit in detail then a walk around Covent Garden itself, the sunshine & the company made it a perfect day .
